Creating Ethereal Shepherd's Brand Suite:
1. The owner of Ethereal Shepherds reached out to explain her upcoming new business and her passion for the german shepherd and beauceron breeds. Here are some things she made clear she wanted in the logo:
-both breeds highlighted in the branding
-a surrealist aspect with clouds or a moon to align with the name "ethereal shepherds"
-rolling mountains to demonstrate the wilderness and wildness of both breeds
2. After processing her vision and ideas, I began to research both breeds and look into their similarities and differences. I sketched all my ideas onto paper and came up with some imagery to show the breeds curiosity within one another, to celebrate their equal desires to be a strong companion while also a protector of the land and humans they watch over as well. It was important to create a scenic background that brought these two dogs into their element.
3. After my brainstorming and sketching, I brought everything into illustrator land to play with colors, typefaces and form. I decided upon navy blue since it represents authority, trust and stability which aligns with the values that both breeds share.
4. I created mock-ups for the entire brand suite and spruced up some things before delivery.
5. I sent in the files to the client and she mentioned how she loved the imagery but needed one modification from "dog breeding & pet training" to just simply "german shepherds & beaucerons".
6. I made the revision and updated all logos and mock-ups and sent in the second delivery.
